Projects
Dresden Technology Centre supports small and medium-size enterprises in national and international projects dealing with technology transfer and co-operation. The support is achieved by putting in the application for the projects as well as managing them. As an example for our work please see the following projects:
Technology Transfer Project "Precision Procedures for Parts Manufacturing in Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises in Saxony"
Project Duration: 08 / 2005 - 12 / 2007
The project was aimed at developing existing capacities of precision manufacturing and measurement systems for co-operative utilization of resources including high-quality machines and tools already available in partner companies.
The background was that modern equipment, machinery, vehicles or devices increasingly use components working on the principles of micro and nanotechnology. Use of such technologically advanced parts requires higher accuracy in every detail when using new materials or modified existing materials.
Its promotion was based on state support schemes for technology using funds from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) from 2000 to 2006 as well as funds from the Free State of Saxony (P. - No. 10791).
Technology Transfer for Manufacturing Components for Microsystems and Micro-optics - Bamm -
Project Duration: 05 / 2005 - 12 / 2007
The project was aimed at building networks of expertise and technological advice for small and medium-sized Saxon enterprises concentrating on selected technologies and going along the value chain of manufacturing microsystems:
micro cutting, micro forming tools, micro moulding, tool and component coating, micro-production technology.
The promotion was based on state support schemes for technology using funds from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) from 2000 to 2006 as well as funds from the Free State of Saxony (P. - No. 10791).
Network "Photonics Dresden "
By creating the network "Photonics Dresden", existing capacities in research, development and production were combined thereby strengthening the industrial location. Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLED), optical sensors, actuators as well as optical data transmission were the common subjects and scopes of work of the network partners. The establishment of a producer for displays based on organic light-emitting diodes in Dresden was a key objective of the project, which was realized by the settlement of Novaled AG, a company founded in 2005, at Dresden's centre for biological innovation: BioInnovationsZentrum.
Among the 10 members of the network are two Institutes of Dresden Technical University (Institute of Applied Photo Physics - IAPP - and Institute for Communications Engineering - IfN - /working team Photonics), furthermore the Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems, six small and medium-sized enterprises within the region of Dresden as well as the savings bank SIB Innovations - and Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH Dresden . The co-ordinating role in the network was taken over by Dresden Technology Centre.
The network was a project from the competition "Network East" (NEMO) of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Labour.
